Fabricating Joy, One Fiber at a Time
My chemistry career began around ten years old in the Blue Ridge of VA, in a shed where my dad and I turned used cooking oil into biodiesel and soap. Since then I have gone on to complete a dual BS/MS in chemistry, followed by years working in the pharmaceutical industry before embarking on a chemistry PhD. In my free time for well over a decade I have knitted and explored a wide range of fiber crafts…so what’s one more?
Ewe Do Ewe works with nearby mills to turn locally sourced wool into yarn, then hand-dyes each skein in-house using a range of techniques to produce unique, carefully finished hanks full of character. We’re also committed to improving how we super-wash by developing gentler, more sustainable methods that keep fibers soft without compromising the environment.
